To counteract
this, we shot in the grounds of Hall Place (a setting we’d previously used in
our video).
The grounds are
a lot greener, eliminating the backdrop issue.
We attempted to
get images of all the shots we were aiming to use in the digipack; the image on
the front, inside photo and back image. We also experimented with shots for the
poster.

As previously
established, we will be using close up shots on the front cover of the
digipack.
We particularly
liked this image:
We would have to
crop this image for it to fit into the layout we need it in, and this, in turn,
will alleviate the dead trees in this particular shot. Our model looks pure and
innocent in this image, which is what we had aimed to achieve.

From our poster
research, we recognised a common trend of natural lighting would work well for us,
due to the fact we are constantly using natural lighting.
We also found
many examples which depicted a mid-shot or full body shot; as previously
confirmed, we will be using a mid-shot image on our poster.
We particularly
liked this image:
For our inside
photo, we tried to capture images using the rule of thirds; our model in the
first third and the rest of the image scenery. This image would be landscape,
covering the whole inside surface of the CD inside.

Unfortunately, as a group we decided we will need to re-shoot this
particular image; we felt the costume and setting would need re-thinking. We remembered
our initial idea of using a long shot of
the model, in which we will use the dress from our music video.
Despite our thinking to use our model once again, on our
back cover, we’ve decided to instead use a plain scenery shot, of the same location
for consistency.
